In addition, her work has been selected for national exhibition by the Professional Photographers of America, PPA from whom she has received the coveted Masters of Photography and Craftsman degrees.  Among Judy’s awards for outstanding environmental portrait photography, she has earned multiple Kodak Gallery Awards, an award given to those photographers who excel in creativity and the pursuit of excellence in quality.

Honored as a Sigma Pro for the Sigma Corporation, a significant distinction shared with seven top professionals in the industry, see www.sigmaphoto.com/sigma-lounge/meet-the-pros.

A world traveler teaching seminars and workshops in environmental portraiture, specialized image processing, marketing and natural lighting, visit www.judyhost.com or contact her directly at judyhost@mac.com for more information.

For more than a decade, her skill to paint within natural light and tend to the smallest detail of composition explains why many times her portraits are considered paintings.  This celebrity portrait photographer has also perfected the art of creating portraits of children of all ages as proven by her impressive clientele.

Judy’s clients include the Hollywood Foreign Press, InStyle Magazine, Warner Bros and CAA.  She has created portraits for Jack Nicholson, Pierce Brosnan, Nicole Kidman, Mehki Phifer, William H. Macy and Felicity Huffman, Mark Wahberg and more.  She is the first photographer to have photographed at a private viewing dinner hosted by InStyle at the Golden Globes five years in a row.  In addition, her imagery was featured as the centerpiece of the party’s décor.  Other clients include two private sector groups wishing to solve poverty issues in the world.  These projects took her to Africa to photograph the Presidents of both Uganda and Rwanda and several orphanages in both countries.  She has also traveled to Sri Lanka, India and Thailand to document the progress of the Tsunami survivors on their one-year anniversary.

Judy teaches a series of workshops on the “Art of Available Light” and “Behind the Image – The Creative Process” throughout the year. For more information on these workshops, please see the Workshops section of this website.
